Skilled Worker
Canada is experiencing its lowest
unemployment rate in 30 years as it continues to enjoy strong
economic growth. Facing labour shortages, the Canadian

criteria allow three types of applicants to file an immigration
application:
Transition Rules
Whether a skilled worker is assessed under the former
Immigration Act or the new selection criteria depends on when
the immigration application was submitted and a selection
decision received:

Applicants
with at least 1 year of work experience in a designated
high-demand occupation
______________(see list) or;
2.
Applicants with an offer of employment,
3.
Applicants
currently living legally in Canada as a foreign worker/student.
