MONTENEGRO - CITIZENSHIP PROGRAM

Montenegro is a country located in South-East Europe on the Adriatic Sea. It borders Bosnia & Herzegovina towards the North-West, Serbia & Kosovo towards the East, Albania towards the South, and Croatia to the West. The capital city of Montenegro is Podgorica. Attractive landscapes, picturesque old stone houses, and beaches draws the attention of both, domestic and foreign tourists, to Montenegro.

Montenegro is a part of the Eurozone, and is expected to become EU & Schengen Zone member by the end of 2025. Moreover, Montenegro is a participant state of OSCE (Organization for Security & Co-operation in Europe), and a member of UN.

Citizenship by Investment Program:

Montenegro’s Citizenship by Investment offers two investment options which leads to citizenship:

OPTION 1

Contribution of € 100,000 to the State + Investment into Govt Approved Real Estate in Northern part of the country worth € 250,000.

OPTION 2

Under this option, main applicant is required to donate € 100,000 to the state and invest € 450,000 in government approved real-estate developments in the southern part of Montenegro or in the capital city of Podgorica.

Eligibility Conditions:

Dependent children up to 18 years of age.
Dependent children above 18 years of age if financially dependent on main applicant.

Government Application Fees:

The government application fees for Montenegro’s Citizenship by Investment Program is as follows:

€ 15,000 for Main Applicant.
€ 10,000 per dependent (up to four dependents).
€ 50,000 per additional dependent.

Due Diligence Fees:

The due diligence fees structure for applicants shall be as follows:

€ 7,000 for Main Applicant.
€ 10,000 for up to four dependents.
€ 1,500 per additional dependent.

Process:

Client signs Retainer Agreement with Lalani & Associates and pays 50% of professional fee.
Clients pay the government application fees along with lawyer & agent’s fee.
Client selects Investment project & signs investment documentation.
Client transfers payment of investment and contribution to the government escrow account.
Submission of the necessary documents and application for citizenship.
Issuance of certificate of naturalization.
Client travels to Montenegro for biometric, and collecting the passport.

Benefits:

Montenegrin Passport is obtained within 6-8 months and has validity of 10 years.
Visa free travel allowed to 120 countries including Schengen, Russia & Turkey.
No physical residency or language test requirement
Montenegro is a candidate country for EU membership
No restriction on dual citizenship in Montenegro.
